To clean a plain tablecloth, you can follow these steps:
1. Shake the tablecloth first to remove any loose dirt or debris.
2. If the tablecloth is very dirty or stained, you may need to pre-treat these areas with a stain remover before washing.
3. Check the care label to see if the tablecloth is machine washable. If so, put it in the washing machine with mild detergent and set the water temperature and wash cycle according to the care label directions.
4. If the tablecloth is not machine washable, you can try hand washing in the sink or bathtub with warm water and mild detergent.
5. After the tablecloth has been washed, rinse thoroughly to remove any residual soap or stains.
6. If the tablecloth is easy to wrinkle, you might as well iron it with a warm iron while the tablecloth is still wet. Otherwise, hang it to dry or tumble dry low.
7. Once the tablecloth is dry, fold it neatly and store it in a clean, dry place until needed again.
Be sure to follow the care instructions on the tablecloth label, as different fabrics and dyes may require different cleaning methods.
