CURTAIN FABRIC
The curtains in your home add to the overall style and decor of the room, they also provide privacy for when you need it. They can be opaque to totally block light, or sheer to let some of it through while still giving the impression that they're closed. Curtain fabrics come in a variety of styles and colours and can be printed, embroidered, sequined, or blended with other fibers.
Colours are an important factor to consider when choosing curtains as the colour can have a huge impact on how they complement the rest of your decor. For example, dark colours can look very dramatic in a modern space. On the other hand, light colours can work well in more traditional homes as they are able to blend in with existing decor.
Contrast fabric is used to highlight the edges of your curtains and can be a colour that is different to the curtains themselves or it can be a strip of material that's sewn around them. It's a very common choice, as it can make the curtains look more stylish and sophisticated.
Headings
The headings of your curtains can be made from tape-gathered pleats, pencil pleats, a smocked header or a honeycomb heading. The smocked header is created by connecting the pleats in the head of the curtains at set intervals, while the honeycomb header is made from small pencil pleats that have been connected in sets.
